The annual communication event of the European Social Fund at the BMFL in Salerno. Highlight on ITS of Campania

This year the annual communication event of the European Social Fund highlighted the success of the ITS system (Istruzione Tecnica Superiore – Higher Technical Education) in Campania which is proposed as an alternative path to University to introduce young people to the world of work. In fact, the 16 foundations operating in Campania offer specialized training courses close to the professional profiles required by companies.

The event was the highlight of the second day of the Mediterranean Training and Work Exchange ongoing until tomorrow at the Augusteo theater in Salerno. On stage, former students who now work in leading companies in Campania and Italy spoke about their ITS training experience to the crowded audience of students.

The Regional Councilor for School, Social Policies and Youth Policies Lucia Fortini was present and interacted with the young protagonists of the ITS. Speakers, among others, for Regione Campania were: Maria Somma, Director General of the ESF Management Authority, and Rossella Mancinelli of the General Directorate for Education, Training and Work; Michele Sartorello, rapporteur of the European Commission for the European Social Fund and representatives of educational institutions, the world of business and work.

The ITS courses are financed by Regione Campania through the resources of the European Social Fund and are free for students.
