This site uses cookies and similar technologies to ensure the correct functioning of procedures and improve the experience of using online applications. This document provides detailed information on the use of cookies and similar technologies, how they are used and how to manage them.

The information is valid only for the aforementioned Site and its related second and third level domains and not for any other sites that may be consulted through links.

By using this Site you consent to our use of cookies in accordance with this Cookie Policy.

If you do not agree to our use of cookies, you should set your browser accordingly or not use this Site or any corresponding second and third level domains. If you choose to disable the technical cookies we use, your experience when browsing our Site may be affected.

Terms

Cookies are short text fragments (letters and/or numbers) that allow the web server to store information on the client (the browser) to be reused during the same visit to the site (session cookies) or later, even after days (persistent cookies). Cookies are stored, according to the user’s preferences, by the individual browser on the specific device used (computer, tablet, smartphone).

Similar technologies, such as, for example, web beacons, transparent GIFs and all forms of local storage introduced with HTML5, can be used to collect information about user behaviour and the use of services.

In the remainder of this document, we will refer to cookies and all similar technologies by simply using the term “cookies”.

Types of cookies

Depending on the characteristics and use of cookies, we can distinguish different categories:

  • Strictly necessary cookies. These cookies are essential for the proper functioning of the site and are used to manage login and access to the site’s restricted functions. The duration of the cookies is strictly limited to the work session (when the browser is closed they are deleted). Their deactivation compromises the use of services accessible by login. The public part remains normally usable.
  • Analytics and performance cookies. These are cookies used to collect and analyse site traffic and usage in an anonymous way. While these cookies do not identify you, they do allow us to detect, for example, if you return to the site at different times. They also allow us to monitor the system and improve its performance and usability. These cookies can be deactivated without any loss of functionality.
  • Profiling cookies. These are persistent cookies used to identify (anonymously or otherwise) your preferences and improve your browsing experience. The site DOES NOT USE cookies of this type.

Third party cookies

When you visit a website you may receive cookies both from the site you visit (‘owners’) and from sites operated by other organisations (‘third parties’).

The management of information collected by “third parties” is governed by the relevant privacy policy, to which you should refer. For the sake of transparency and convenience, please find below the web addresses of the different policies and cookie management methods.

Google Analytics

The website includes certain components transmitted by Google Analytics, a web traffic analysis service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). These are third-party cookies collected and managed anonymously to monitor and improve the performance of the host site (performance cookies).

Google Analytics uses “cookies” to collect and analyse anonymously information about site usage behaviour (including the user’s IP address). This information is collected by Google Analytics, which processes it in order to compile reports on website activity. This website does not use (and does not allow third parties to use) Google’s analysis tool to monitor or collect personally identifiable information. Google does not associate the IP address with any other data held by Google nor does it attempt to link an IP address with a user’s identity. Google may also disclose this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf.

For more information, please refer to the link below:

The user can selectively disable the action of Google Analytics by installing the opt-out component provided by Google on his browser. To disable the action of Google Analytics, please refer to the link below:

Duration of cookies

Some cookies (session cookies) remain active only until you close your browser or issue a logout command. Other cookies “survive” when the browser is closed and are available on subsequent visits by the user.

These cookies are called persistent and their duration is set by the server when they are created. In some cases an expiry date is set, in other cases the duration is unlimited.

The site DOES NOT USE persistent cookies.

However, by browsing the pages of the website, you may interact with sites operated by third parties who may create or modify permanent and profiling cookies.

Managing cookies

You can decide whether or not to accept cookies by using your browser settings.

Attention: the total or partial disabling of technical cookies may compromise the use of the site’s functionalities reserved for registered users. On the contrary, the usability of public content is possible even if cookies are completely disabled.

Disabling third-party cookies does not affect navigability in any way.

The setting can be defined specifically for different websites and web applications. Moreover, the best browsers allow you to define different settings for ‘proprietary’ and ‘third-party’ cookies.

As an example, in Firefox, through the menu Tools->Options->Privacy, you can access a control panel where you can define whether or not to accept the different types of cookies and proceed to their removal.
