Friday, 11 May 2018 – Benevento , Palazzo San Vittorino (Ex Convento), via Raffaele Pellegrini n. 16

The Campania Region promotes, through the activities of young people, European culture, identity and citizenship, and to this end it has aimed to enhance Europe Day and European Youth Week and encourage a more constant cultural debate on issues affecting young people, European citizens and European integration. One of the main initiatives was the launch of the European Youth Week and Europe Day event prize within the framework of the “A relay for Europe” programme. The objectives of the initiative were to reward the activism of Campania’s youth associations and their commitment to promoting knowledge of the European Union, its values and raising awareness of the Campania community towards European integration issues and to encourage their industriousness in carrying out activities consistent with Europe Day and European Youth Week during the period 1-18 May 2017. The Award is aimed at supporting a subsequent initiative to be organised, in agreement with the Region, on themes of interest to young people and consistent with the challenges related to the process of European integration. Therefore, on the occasion of the European Year of Cultural Heritage, an event has been organised – with the coordination of the Campania Region and the Department for Youth Policies, with the Associations: AEGEE, Apeur, Arie, CallystoArts, Europportunity, Giovani Mentor, La Confederazione, Moby Dick, N’Ata Storia, Noi@Europe, Nous, Ride Dream, Sagapò, APS SannioIrpinia Lab, Torre dei Giovani –

which proposes a series of events and workshops with the aim of encouraging the sharing and enhancement of Europe’s cultural heritage as a shared resource, raising awareness of common history and values and strengthening the sense of belonging to a common European space with particular reference to the role of the younger generations.

The event will take place on 11 May in the prestigious Palazzo San Vittorino in Benevento. To participate, it is necessary to register by 3 p.m. on 3 May 2018. EXTENSION TO 8 MAY.
